Vessels Western Estate Auction Set June 15 in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, TX–MAY 16, 2024–B A RIGBY Auctions announced today that they will conduct a Western Estate Auction with items from the famed Vessels Stallion Farm on June 15 in Fort Worth, Texas.

More than 250 items from the Vessels California Estate will be offered at Billy Bob's Texas – 81 Club in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Preview days are scheduled for Thursday and Friday, June 13-14 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the 81 Club.

Two-Time Horse of the Year Had To Ivory Wins Fourth Norman Picov Maturity at Ajax Wednesday

AJAX, ONT–FEBRUARY 25, 2024–Had To Be Ivory showed why he is a two-time Horse of The Year today. Making his first start this season, he easily won the Norman Picov Maturity for the fourth time in five years at Ajax Downs.

Under jockey Josh Scott, Had To Be Ivory prevailed by one-length over his rivals to take home $12,749(US) of the $22,646(US) maturity purse.  The 9-year-old son of champion sire Ivory James covered the 300 yards in 15.266 seconds, equaling a 103 speed index.

Fastest Qualifier JLB Eye The Tiger Draws Post 2 for Saturday's New Mexico Breeders' Futurity

FARMINGTON, NM--MAY 16, 2024--Rene Salgado’s JLB Eye The Tiger drew post 2 for Saturday’s 350-yard, $120,000-added New Mexico Breeders’ Futurity (RG3) for state-bred 2-year-old Quarter Horses at SunRay Park.

The fastest qualifier, JLB Eye The Tiger made his debut with a wire-to-wire, half-length victory in the first of six trials on May 3. The gelded son of leading third year sire Eye Am King was a $7,500 yearling purchase at last year’s New Mexico-Bred Sale at Ruidoso Downs.

Third Straight Stakes Victory On Friday For Juan Diaz and Victor Urieta With Blue Eyed Jane

HOUSTON, TX–MAY 10, 2024– Trainer Juan Diaz, Jr. and jockey Victor Urieta, Jr. teamed up for their third consecutive stakes victory on Friday night's program at Sam Houston Race Park with Blue Eyed Jane.

Blue Eyed Jane, who hadn't yet broken her maiden, qualified with the ninth fastest time in the trials. But the two-year-old filly showed up in the $102,382 John Deere Juvenile Challenge [G3] finals for an impressive 2 3/4-length victory.
