Shari Burger Named QData pedigree Systems Analyst

EL RENO, OK–MAY 16, 2024–The American Quarter Horse Association has hired Shari Burger as a QData pedigree systems analyst. Burger will write pedigrees and assist in sale catalog production, project management, and QData custom software design.

"It’s an exciting opportunity to work for AQHA, Robin Glenn and her team at QData," Burger said. "I’ve been very fortunate to gain valuable knowledge and work with some of the best breeders, owners and trainers in the racing industry. I look forward to utilizing my experience, learning the catalog pedigree business and being part of such an integral team."

Burger served as a statistician at Cobb-Vantress Inc. (Tyson Foods) in Spavinaw, Oklahoma, for the past eight years. Flight Club and Jessaprimadonna Defend Their Titles In A Deadheat For The Win In Old Timers Classic

EDMONTON, ALB–MAY 17, 2024–Flight Club, the post-time favorite due to his impeccable stakes win streak, led the field but was caught at the wire by last year's reigning champion Jessaprimadonna for a deadheat victory in the $15,420 (US) Old Timers Classic Stakes at Century Mile on Friday.

Fastest Qualifier JLB Eye The Tiger Draws Post 2 for Saturday's New Mexico Breeders' Futurity

FARMINGTON, NM--MAY 16, 2024--Rene Salgado’s JLB Eye The Tiger drew post 2 for Saturday’s 350-yard, $120,000-added New Mexico Breeders’ Futurity (RG3) for state-bred 2-year-old Quarter Horses at SunRay Park.

The fastest qualifier, JLB Eye The Tiger made his debut with a wire-to-wire, half-length victory in the first of six trials on May 3. The gelded son of leading third year sire Eye Am King was a $7,500 yearling purchase at last year’s New Mexico-Bred Sale at Ruidoso Downs.

Third Straight Stakes Victory On Friday For Juan Diaz and Victor Urieta With Blue Eyed Jane

HOUSTON, TX–MAY 10, 2024– Trainer Juan Diaz, Jr. and jockey Victor Urieta, Jr. teamed up for their third consecutive stakes victory on Friday night's program at Sam Houston Race Park with Blue Eyed Jane.

Blue Eyed Jane, who hadn't yet broken her maiden, qualified with the ninth fastest time in the trials. But the two-year-old filly showed up in the $102,382 John Deere Juvenile Challenge [G3] finals for an impressive 2 3/4-length victory.
